About Marion Hume

As the London-based contributing editor to TIME Style & Design, Marion Hume has traveled the globe—from Australia to Africa covering the global luxury business.

She started her career in fashion journalism in 1985, working as a reporter for The Sunday Times and then as fashion editor for The Independent, she witnessed the London debuts of John Galliano, Philip Treacy, Luella, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney etc. Hume also worked on the seminal BBC six part fashion documentary, The Look, which, almost 20 years on, is currently being re-screened in the UK in the slot before Mad Men.
