Donna Karan: Easy Breezy

Are wide-brimmed hats a trend for spring? They seem to be popping up on and off the runways at New York fashion week. Donna Karan showed a few wide-brimmed, gauzy hats at her afternoon show today, left. They lent a feminine whimsy to the narrow silhouette. The collection had the urban sophistication of last season but this time done in an ethereal, smokey palette. Something about the lightness and fluidity of the fabrics really made Karan's expert draping and tailoring skills look effortless.
