Tommy Hilfiger show review

it wasn't until halfway through the show when I realized why I felt such a strong connection to the models on the runway: I once modeled a Tommy Hilfiger suit for W magazine. And if these guys get teased a quarter as much as I did, they'll never do it again.

I also once took a ride alone with Tommy Hilfiger in the Tommy Hilfiger blimp, which I believe got destroyed in a freak blimp accident a week later. Tommy was both one of the nicest and most boring people I'd ever gone in a blimp ride with.

His collection was also both very nice and very boring. The orange cotton crepe sweater dress - solid up top and striped down below - was so much happy fun you would love to go on a blimp ride with the woman wearing it evern if she were boring. The navy one-piece swimsuit with the plunging backless neckline and straps around the middle was hot. And the navy scarf dress, where the neck of the dress became a scarf, was striking aviator cool.

And a few things were dumb. The tassles hanging from belts made the outfits look like a grandma's couch. And these pajama-type things I've seen at about four shows are all stupid. Though I do like that everyone is using sheer fabric in the middle of clothes. That's cool.

But basically these were nice boring preppy clothes I didn't know people wore anymore. In fact, I didn't know Tommy Hilfiger was still around. Good for him. He's a nice guy. I just hope no one asks me to model his clothes again. Or anyone else's. i didn't even get to keep anything. I bet real models don't either.
