Malo show review

Malo

I liked a lot of this one too, which probably means it sucks.

The grey dress with see-through slits throughout was hot. In fact, all the slit stuff was cool. The purple dress that was all bunched up in the back was pretty and elegant while remaining totally interesting.

Some of it was a little Gattica, all tenty and unisex, and those Klimt-gold-big-applique patterns were dumb. As were the pajama-like outfits and the high-waisted print pants. And no designer should ever use that flesh-colored "illusion" stuff that figure skaters try to fool you with so you think, "Hey, is Nancy Kerrigan naked other than the glitter?" It just makes us feel cheated and angry. Also I want everyone to listen carefully to this rule: If the model has to wear spandex shorts underneath, there's something wrong with the way you designed the outfit.

Also, this show marks the first time when the makeup artist tried to make the models look attractive. Good move.
