It's only been about 48 hours since I wrote that color was the big spring trend and already there are some revisions. Joel, you will be happy to hear that--at least for today--nude is the new black. Yesterday morning the Rodarte show opened with a passage of nude kilts worn over spiderweb sweaters and cut-out, zip-up leggings. Then Derek Lam picked up on the nude trend with slinky beaded drawstring dresses.

Later, at Max Azria there was a short nude jersey dress on Chanel Iman. And last night, Narciso Rodriguez sent out one nude colored embroidered silk crepe dress in a collection made up mostly of graphic black and white. Warning: nude or blush or whatever you want to call it is a tough color to wear. As Victoria Beckham pointed out (more about her later), if the shade has too much yellow in it, it looks washed out.
