Isaac Mizrahi show review

Kate Betts asked Mizrahi to do a blog, so is she going to tell you the truth about how his show went? No. Will Mizrahi? No. I am your only objective source on this event. And I will not let you down.

It was fabulous! There was a live orchestra that played along to weird insect sounds and all the important people (Kate, not me) sat under these sodium vapor lights that made them look like they were in a black and white movie.

There was a yellow print dress that was long in the back and short in the front, which was cool and sexy and thus would satisfy both my wife and me since we have radically different notions on how she should dress.

There was also a dress called a "glamourpillar" that was shiny and tight and way cool. I also like his take on the trench coat. And that was a nice beetle-inspired classic wedding dress. All in all, I'd say dressing women up like insects is a very cool idea. In fact, I think a French guy did that for a high end porn movie not that long ago.

My main complaint with the clothes is that the models would be wearing a cool short dress or skirt and underneath they'd have neon leggings. Frankie says cut that out. Models don't have breasts or hips so at least let me see their legs.

I hope the "Grand Pupa" dress was supposed to be maternity wear. Also, puffy pants are not a good idea. I keep seeing these things today. Not cool.

But generally: fabulous!
