I'm ready to get fabulous or fierce or whatever

Tonight begins my first fashion week and I'm looking forward to all the surprises. Like, what season will they be showing? I'm guessing it's too late for fall, and I've never heard of a winter fashion line, so I'm guessing spring. But I'm hoping for summer. Since that would means bikinis. And maybe mono-kinis, which I, personally, have a fashion preference for.

Also, will I find fashion models hot? In pictures they look weird and skinny and about 14, but some of them seem to crossover to real modeling, like in Sports Illustrated or Victoria's Secret. These are the kinds of things I'm being sent by Time magazine to find out.

And will I be the only straight guy? Will this be the one environment I've ever been in where I feel super-straight and know the most about sports and cars? Like, “Oh, actually baseball is the one with the bat. And they technically measure ‘go-fastness' in ‘horsepower.'” That would be cool.

Will everyone make fun of what I'm wearing? Like in high school? Or at the office at Time? I guess the answer is yes. But it might be even worse. “Oh, you're wearing jeans? What is it 2007? Are you also wearing underwear?” I'm pretty nervous. I should probably not be invading the one area we let gay men have.
